On October 19 an IDF meeting picked a commander for a new space unit, and Defense Minister Israel Katz called it “blue-and-white Star Wars.” On October 22 Charisma News headlined it as an echo of biblical heavenly warfare. “Echoing” is the only word in the headline that is not news. The act was an IDF appointments meeting on October 19, chaired by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, that picked a brigadier general to lead a new space unit, still awaiting Defense Minister Israel Katz’s approval. Neither the IDF statement nor Katz cites scripture; Katz reached for a film. Charisma’s own second paragraph describes the act plainly, and the biblical link arrives only in the eighth, credited to Israel365 writer Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz. The device is the hint: a likeness offered with no one claiming a cause. The habit it rides is the proof you wanted, the line that tells its readers what they already believe and hands them the evidence. The tell is a verb that joins a government’s act to scripture while no one in the government says so. The page carries the rest: an Amazon link to Jonathan Cahn’s new book in mid-article, and a byline from the author of a commentary on Revelation. What the prophecy leaves out, the reports carry. The IDF has disclosed no capabilities, timetable or budget for the unit, CTech and Ynetnews report. Katz pitched its benefits to Israel’s tech sector, and the same meeting set up a Robotics Brigade and revived the 500th Armored Brigade. Israel’s Ministry of Defense says its satellites watched hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of Iranian territory daily in “Operation Roaring Lion” to guide strike planning. A unit read as foretold is no longer asked what it is for.
